The grip
The whole sole is covered in hex grip pads, each stamped with the S and coloured to match your ground. They run from heel to toe and wrap around the heel, so your foot stays put from the takeaway to the finish.
An arch band hugs your midfoot, so the sock moves with your foot instead of around it. More on the grip

The Crew sits mid-calf. The Quarter sits just above the ankle. In between sizes? Size up.
